How To Be Beautiful - This Is Not Another Makeup Tutorial

Our society is really fascinated with good-looking individuals. Mass media bombard us with aspirations to be constantly looking well - young, healthy and wealthy.

Nobody wants to get old.

Some people even try to look like their favorite stars.

To some extent, they spend millions in aesthetic medicine, fancy clothes and beauty products.

The prophet Samuel's experience tells us, however, that images can often deceive and hide the true value of one's character.

When Samuel saw Eliab, Jesse's firstborn, he was impressed with his appearance and thought that this might well be the chosen one to become the next king of Israel.

Then, the Lord gave him His standard in measuring the greatness of a person.

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV)

It's not the face value that is really important before the eyes of God. What matters is what is inside the heart - the inner beauty of a pure and honest heart.
