When You Are Running Out Of Time
Weekday's about to end. It's Friday and It's going fast. Then the crunch hits you. You start cramming, panicking. You're dreading the 5PM deadline. You're running out of time to finish a crucial task assigned to you!
How could you let that happen? How did you end up wasting your time? What went wrong? You ask yourself these questions but deep inside, you know.
It's your time
You may cover it up with excuses like you forgot, or time ran fast and you didn't notice, or that you spent too much time preparing.
But the simple truth is, you chose to do other things you could simply put off at some other time.
Instead of working on meaningful and pressing tasks, you find yourself doing trivial things.
Does this sound familiar? Right, your mom probably had it pierced into your skull when you missed your chores. Or your teacher, was it? Either way, there's a word for it. Procrastination!
Don’t waste it
Procrastination is a quagmire. It takes you nowhere but down. It holds you back from achieving success, from accomplishing something worthwhile, or from becoming someone reliable.
When someone is procrastinating, he is purposely letting himself lose focus and by doing so making the opportunities move away from reach.
The good thing is you can always get yourself out of the mire. With your resilient spirit and improved willpower, overcome your old self - your fiercest enemy.
Make full use of your God-given potentials and spend your most valuable commodity, TIME, excellently.
