“Eat Well” Is Better To Say Than “Feel Better” Or “Get Well”

Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that God’s spirit dwells in you?

That’s right, the scripture says our body is the temple of God and therefore we are given a special responsibility to protect and care for our bodies.

Just as we wear clothes to block off dirt on the outside, isn’t it more consequential that our diet be nourishing and nutritious?

Eat well

Just as we guard ourselves from injuries, isn’t it more important that we avoid diseases caused by non-nutritive food intake?

Isn’t it more helpful and thoughtful to say “eat well” so we don’t have to say “feel better” and “get well”?

Taking care of our bodies is important to God. That is why He gave us the power of discipline. So we can live a lifestyle that avoids imprudent activities, and embrace the activities that are beneficial, fulfilling, and meaningful instead.

Let's face it

Ultimately, it will help us overcome distractions such as food and unhealthy habits that are harmful to our bodies and that cripple our ability to serve God.

Let us glorify God with our bodies and not defile His temple by succumbing to temptations that damage it.

Let's face it, how can we really spend time enjoying God's goodness when we are laying in bed sick? And how much time can we really spend giving hope, sharing love, and changing lives by introducing Jesus Christ if we have fallen victims by our own unhealthy lifestyles?

Embrace health

Matthew tells us to let our light so shine before men that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in Heaven.

So, if we, Christians, embrace healthy living and create positive impact in our community, eventually, the world will know. And they will know the God we serve as well.

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. 3 John 1:2
