On Time Eleventh Hour Miracle

In 1992, there was a young couple who humbly started their family in the province of Bukidnon with their 3 children, 2 beautiful daughters, and a baby boy. It was hard to make ends meet because they had only very little in their hands upon settling down.

Alone with her children

One day, the father decided to work for his relatives a few towns away, bringing their eldest daughter along. The mother was then left with their second daughter and the baby.

One morning, the mother woke up noticing a flu on her baby. She had the instinct to bring him to the hospital, but since they had no money, she had to be strong and nurse the baby on her own, praying the flu to only last for a few hours. But three days had past, and the baby was still sick. This time, she bravely took him to the hospital.

The doctor said it was Pneumonia and the baby had it for days. It worried the mother because she could not notify her working husband since no one was there whom she can leave the kids with, for a few hours. Also, mobile phones were not really a thing at that time.

Helplessness

It was a crucial decision for her because the baby was weak and the doctor's advice was to confine the baby as soon as possible. The mother knew she had to pray really hard this time. She found herself a peaceful place and asked the Lord for doubled protection this time that her baby is sick.

She went back to the doctor's room and told the doctor she did not have any money on her hands because her husband was out of town and she had no one to ask for help. She then asked if the doctor would allow it, she would just take the baby home.

Before the doctor could agree, she humbly requested the doctor if there were sample medicines available that she can have for free. Hearing it, the doctor went inside her office to try to look for one. She came out with a bottle in her hand. She said only a few ml's are left, this could last for a few days if she really insists on going home. The mother took the bottle and thanked the doctor for it.

Prayers and tears

Arriving home, the mother spoke to God again. Without her husband with her, the only source of strength she could have was coming from up there.

She prayed every time she gave the baby a portion of the sample medicine. She kept praying, harder and harder, hoping for the baby's condition to be better.

When the bottle was about to run out, she prayed more intensely, this time with tears. She told God all her plans for the kids, explained their current situation, she spoke to God over and over until she fell asleep.

Few hours later, she woke up with the baby's happy face. Surprised, she checked the baby's body and there was not a sign of any fever left!

On time

“Miracle!” She exclaimed with joy. She thanked God and promised to offer the life of their baby boy to Him.

The mother remembers this experience in detail, that even to the eleventh hour, God miraculously answered her prayers, and of how thankful she was that God was still on time. After the good 27 years, her prayers for the boy, who is now a man, lingers still, to REMEMBER to be fearful to the Lord, the Great Healer.

Remember

There are two great wonders of the world today: how a mother selflessly loves her children and how powerful her prayers are for them.

I remember my mother’s prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life. - Abraham Lincoln
She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. - Proverbs 31:15-17
