Treasure Hunting: All Must Dig

Who wants treasure?

Treasure chest

I wrote an article about the same topic on treasure hunting.. I am convinced that the Bible contains God's words which I deemed to be treasures. But this won't stay on that. We can safely say that the Bible doesn't just contain treasures, but is a treasure in itself!

Actually, the Bible is a treasure filled with treasures! To rephrase, it's a treasure that has a very rich mine of treasures!

There's so much treasure that anyone who wants it will be going to be rich! Can you believe that?

The quest

Let’s add more to the excitement. Another thing we can learn right from the Bible itself. Ready?

The Bible is not just a treasure with treasures but also even a map that leads to the treasures!

And even more exciting, the Bible is even the treasure hunter itself. Yes, the map and the hunter, for the Bible is its own best interpreter.

That's good news. Everything has been provided for us.

All must dig

"As the mine has rich veins of gold and silver hidden beneath the surface, so that all must dig who would discover its precious stores, so the Holy Scriptures have treasures of truth that are revealed only to the earnest, humble, prayerful seeker." The Great Controversy p.69.

The lesson book

"God designed the Bible to be a lesson-book to all mankind, in childhood, youth, and manhood, and to be studied through all time. He gave his Word to men as a revelation of himself. Every new truth discerned is a fresh disclosure of the character of its Author. The study of the Scriptures is the means divinely ordained to bring men into closer connection with their Creator, and to give them a clearer knowledge of his will. It is the medium of communication between God and man." The Great Controversy p.69.

Did you catch that?

The Bible is a treasure with treasures, the map to the treasures, and the treasure hunter itself.

All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

I wanted to share my treasure hunting experience and what I found out to be treasures in the Bible.
